I just hit the jackpot!!!

Ok... so not really :) If you click on the title to this post, it will take you to their home page and you can read more about it from there... you can also click on the widgit top left of the page to get to the website as well!

How many of you moms out there get TIRED of planning what to fix for dinner each night?
I know I do.
I've often said, won't somebody just tell me what to fix, cuz I'm tired of coming up with ideas on my own! When I go shopping, I try to plan a menu for a week or 2 at a time... but my menus end up repeating the same thing over and over... spaghetti, mac n cheese, tacos, chicken this, hamburger that... yada yada yada.... I know many of you who shop according to sales, and don't plan a menu... this is something you will definitely be interested in as well!!!

The other day, Mike came home from work and told me of an ad he heard on the radio. It's called Ez Meals! They plan your meals and sets up a shopping list and all you have to do is download it and print it! Its pretty cheap too! $!.25 a week, or $15 ever 3 months!!!

It's great because... it is designed for those who...

  • are on a budget
  • on a diet
  • have a picky family
  • etc.
So How does it work you ask??

you can select what store you want to have the menu generated with... I use Kroger because that's where I do MOST of my shopping :) (they have 28 different plans you can choose from... from gluten free, low fat, to family of 4-6, and vegetarian)

Once you select your plan you print out the menu they select based on what's on sale for the week using the weekly ads that the stores put out.

For my family 1 weeks worth of dinner meals the avg. cost is $85 worth of groceries! I'm sure you couponers are thinking you could get it cheaper... I'm sure you could ;)

I think its great! I'm looking forward to it!
Its definitely a good thing for this Mommy!!!

The 1st Day of Kindergarten...

Chester is nervous about starting school and after his mother explains all the fun things he will do in school he is still reluctant to go. His mother then decides to give him a kiss on his palm, which is now his kissing hand. She tells him no matter where he goes her love will go with him and the kiss will never wash off, even when he washes his food. All he has to do is press his hand against his cheek and her love will rush to him.

After Ema's teacher read this to the class, she handed each of the students a little packet of pocket tissues with a note that read...

"I gave you a little wink and a smile
As you entered my room today.
For I know how hard it is to leave
And know your child must stay.
You've been with her for five
years now
And have been a loving guide.
But now, alas, the time has come
To leave her at my side.
Just know that as you drive away
And tears down your cheeks may
flow.
I'll love her as I would my own
And help her learn and grow.
So please put your mind at ease
And cry those tears no more.
For I will lover her and take her in
When you leave her at my door."

Ema gave me a hug and I asked her if she was ready for school, she said..
Mom... you have to go.
I took that as a YES! LOL!!!
I think we're BOTH happy she's in kindergarten now, and it makes it easier knowing she is ready for it as much as I am! :)

Now I just have to figure out what to do with myself!!!

Her teacher read a story called the Kissing Hand. Then had each of the kids give their "special someone" a little gift... a little poem stuck to a little packet of tissues...

Welcome to Kindergarten!!!

Her next assignment was to put her hand print on a poem, and handprint a paper about how she felt about her first day of school.

Ema found her cubbie! We noticed she is right next to a girl who is coincidentally named Emma Grace! Good thing we only have one M in her name or there would be a lot of confusion!!

She has her first assignment! A classroom scavenger hunt!

Ema Starts Kindergarten!!

Ema is so excited for school, I can barely keep up with her!

6th Grade Can Really Kill You!!!

Or... at least make it difficult! :)

After 20 min. of fighting her locker... she finally got it to work!
(It has a tendency to get stuck on the last number. She has a hard time getting the knob to turn.)
Looks like she's got it figured out now! Even with her daddy pressuring her...
"hurry the bell's going to ring"
"hurry you're going to be late!"
"better not be late to your class!!"

Attempting the Locker Combo... YIKES!!!

Kaleigh working out her combo.
Pesky thing kept giving her problems :(
Glad she's got it worked out now!

Good luck in Middle School!

Bring on 7th Grade!!!

Looks like her locker and combo were no match for her :)
She is excited for the new year!

Ema Breaks Her Collar Bone...

She just got so excited to go down the slippin' Slide, that she didn't think to look before she ran across it. :(
One of the little boys that was over playing at our Memorial Day Picnic was coming down the slide the same time she was crossing... unfortunately, she flipped and landed wrong. She's a TOUGH trooper though! only 2 doses of pain meds!! One the day it happened, and one the next afternoon...

She ROCKS!!
