I am SO SO SO Sorry!!!!!

Ok, I know there are a few of you out there that have been the recipients of EARLY morning phone calls especially the last few mornings... like 5:30 or 6:30 am depending on your time zone...

My dearest little Emalee has figured out how to unlock my cell phone. I discovered this Sunday morning as I woke up to my phone being on "speaker" mode and ringing loudly in my ear while Emalee was excited and saying "button! button! Phone Mommy! Phone!" As soon as my brain caught up with my eyes realizing what was going on, I bolted for my phone, and Emalee was still standing there cheering! Meanwhile I'm thinking AHHH...Who did my child just call?!

I went through my recent calls dialed
It turns out she had called my sister... a ward member ...and Papa Murphy's Pizza...
I guess she wanted breakfast and was too impatient for me to get it for her?!

As I looked more closely to my outgoing or dialed calls...I realized that some of these calls were not 30 seconds long (or until the answering machine picked up) but much longer!!! Papa Murphy's got off lucky with a 16 second call...while my dear friends from church actually stayed on the phone with her trying to figure out what was going on! The timer showed about a minute and a half...SO SO SO SORRY!!! I hope she didn't wake up your two sleeping babies!!!

Emalee has called people before...our Realtor, my sister, family in Utah... If your name is in my contact list, you might have been called! I know she's made early morning calls the last 3 days. Papa Murphy's has been on the list 2 of those days.... sigh...she must like pizza! She usually will find my phone when it's charging...as is the case every morning!

Now before you get on my case about leaving my phone where she can get it or not leaving it locked...I HAVE IT LOCKED!!! It turns out that she's figured out that by sliding it open, it UN-locks the phone! My phone is becoming "tricky" to deal with. Sometimes it just won't let you HANG UP-darn touch sensors only work half the time!!! I know, crazy! (Mind you...it's not the phone company...it's a bad phone....) Unfortunately for me...even the Phone Security lock with pass-code can be dodged. I have a tab that shows ICE (in case of emergency) those numbers are ALWAYS dial-able. Phone locked or not... I have now removed ALL I.C.E. contacts, and I have the phone on SECURITY CODE LOCK....

This is going to be an adjustment for me because of how frequently I text. I have to unlock the phone to see my texts...then go through the menus to lock it again. So, if I don't answer your text right away, it's cuz I'm TOO LAZY to unlock my phone to re lock it 30 seconds later!

And it's because of YOU I am doing this... So YOU don't get called at 5:30 or whenever in the morning or through out the day...

Thanks for understanding...and I really HOPE it doesn't happen any more!

We actually thought it was funny. She didn't wake the children and Doug was so cute trying to talk to her. So don't feel bad for us! I have a 2 year old who has made early phone calls too, only it was my fault for not hanging the cordless back up.

Okay, I am laughing so hard at your post! But these things happen. Little kids get a hold of the phone and there is no telling who they call. When I was little, I would get on my parent's phone and dial 1-234-567-8901....I think you get the picture!
